A "Restaurant Repurposed"

Legendary Woodinville restaurant The Herbfarm now delivering thousands of meals to healthcare workers

April 5, 2020

Chef Chris Weber and his team at The Herbfarm have placed themselves in solidarity and support behind our Puget Sound healthcare workers on the front lines of the COVID-19 crisis. They have closed the restaurant to the public, but are working tirelessly to craft over 300 3-course meals everyday to be distributed to nurses and doctors around Seattle. 

To date, they have delivered over 12,000 individually packaged boxes to our everyday heroes so desperately in need of physical and emotional support. The Herbfarm team have no plans to stop, but they cannot continue their work without the help and support of the Seattle community:

"While we can get by on little sleep, it requires $25,000 each week (food, labor, packing supplies, rent, utilities, transportation) to keep creating and delivering Chef Weber's (frankly) incredible, locally sourced 3-course dinners to grateful coronavirus care providers"

Wildwood Spirits' 

New Direction

Bothell's Wildwood Spirits Co. now making hand sanitizer

March 26, 2020

Our friends at Wildwood Spirits Co. in Bothell have shifted gears, from making their acclaimed spirits, to crafting something we all need even more right now - hand sanitizer. 

Co-owner and head-distiller Erik Liedholm saw a growing need, and an opportunity. With resource hoarding continuing to rise in our community, hand sanitizer is just one of many items that's quickly becoming impossible to find. Liedholm decided to convert his production line to making sanitizer, first in bottles offered in exchange for a $5 donation to the local charity  Big Table, or free with any purchase of a bottle of spirits. 

Shortly after making the switch, calls were coming in from King County Metro and the King County Sheriff, asking for desperately needed sanitizer to help keep their front-line workers protected. Wildwood has already delivered batches, and plans to distribute 48 gallons of sanitizer to each organization on a weekly basis going forward. 

Using the same local and all-natural ingredients that make Wildwood Spirits so good, the hand sanitizer is even scented with lavender grown in Erik's own backyard.

Our Response to COVID-19

As our company responds to COVID-19, the health and safety of our employees and customers remains our top priority. Here’s how we are responding:


  • We are diligently following guidance and best practices from the Washington State Department of Health, as well as the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC)


  • We are encouraging remote work whenever possible


  • We are practicing social distancing in our office and warehouse, meeting electronically when necessary, and we’ve cancelled all events going forward, including our Spring Trade Tasting


  • We have greatly increased the cleaning and disinfecting of frequently touched objects and surfaces, and have made cleaning and sanitizing products available to our delivery drivers to use throughout the day 


  • We have provided all our employees with gloves and multiple reusable and washable masks, for all drivers and sales representatives to wear when either calling upon or delivering to an account

  • We are checking temperatures upon entry to our building


  • We are encouraging any employee who feels ill with potential COVID-19 symptoms to stay home from work


As a small company, we are grateful for the flexibility we have in our ability to respond to this ever-evolving situation. We have modified our delivery schedule to increase delivery frequency to retail locations as demand fluctuates, and we are continuing to do all we can to support the restaurants that are now offering take-out and delivery options.

Even amid all the bedlam, we are committed to the same things we have always been – providing the best service to our customers and supporting strong partnerships with our suppliers.

French Ciders & Much More Now in Our Portfolio

We are so excited to announce that we've teamed up with French Cider Inc. to now offer our customers a wonderful selection of French ciders, poirés, brandies, and juices. 


Founder Joan Harkins developed her passion for French ciders on a family vacation in France. She tasted her first cider in a small café in Saint-Enogat, Brittany, and through the rest of the trip was struck by the diversity and uniqueness of the ciders she enjoyed. Upon returning home to Seattle, she couldn't find any ciders that delivered the same feeling that she'd felt in that small café, so she set out to bring them to the city herself.


Joan has already done all of the ground work - she's explored the back roads of Normandy, Brittany and Picardy, developed relationships with the producers and their families there, and has selected the best and most delicious beverages - sure to be something different than anything you've experienced before.


Many of the ciders, poirés, and Calvados, Cognac and Armagnac products have never been available in the U.S. before now.

New Italian Producer: Sottimano

We welcome the Sottimano Family to our portfolio

The history of Sottimano begins in the late 1960’s, when Rino Sottimano finished his enology studies, and along with his wife Anna, purchased the house and cellar in the Cottá cru and the surrounding vineyards. In the beginning, there were just a few hectares; now, there are 18 hectares total in one of the greatest vineyards in Barbaresco. The second generation is also involved – son and daughter Andrea and Elena Sottimano assist in daily winery operations. The estate vineyards are farmed using sustainable practices. Alcoholic fermentations are completely natural with indigenous yeasts, followed by a long aging in wood “sur lie” to complete malolactic fermentation. There is no use of sulfur until the final bottling, which happens without filtering or fining.
